Business Process Improvement (Re-engineering)

BTG’s business process improvement (re-engineering) methodology manages complex business process operational changes to successful conclusions.  Our management approach defines objectives and is a repetitive process that focuses on four phases: Assessment, Redesign, Execute, and Measure. Most major business process improvement initiatives deal with process and structure improvement manifesting in change toward a desired goal.  Therefore, virtually all organizational initiatives can benefit from a disciplined and comprehensive approach to managing change associated with them.  BTG offers a modularized change management methodology to support our Business Process Improvement services.  We tailor our approach to each client's unique challenges and the specific requirements for the organization.

Program Management and Implementation Support

BTG's program management support converts business needs to measured results by integrating key elements. We gain an understanding of the strategic sponsor’s desired outcomes and explore program relationships with major business stakeholders. The key elements help guide new program integration with existing processes and procedures associated tools and systems that support them.

BTG uses project management methodologies to ensure the project is progressing as planned. Our organizational structure includes an identified project manager who is responsible for tracking, documenting and communicating with the client throughout the project.

Strategic and Business Planning

BTG’s offers a proprietary strategic planning methodology that has been implemented with various public and private sector clients. Twelve (12) planning elements comprise the comprehensive planning methodology.  Primary characteristics of our planning process include: Structured decision-making sessions with the Executive Team; Planning steps that begin with stakeholder input and end with goals and objectives that are specific, time-bounded and results-oriented; and Consensus based processes that yield high ownership and accountability.

Training Development and Delivery

BTG’s training design and development methodology is based on the five phases of the ADDIE model; Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation.  We work with clients to customize our approach to their training delivery needs.  In addition to training facilitation, our professionals are experienced in implementing Train-the-Trainer programs that empower clients to use their "leaders as teachers."  We provide both classroom and web-based (Articulate) training that includes facilitator and participant guides, User Productivity Kit (UPK), online support and other job aids.

Emerging Business Growth Strategy

BTG’s emerging business growth strategy methodology uses our Management Maturity Model™ (M3™) to assess the current growth stage, management capability and maturity of a business.  We use our M3™ technology to evaluate three elements (1) Strenghts and Weaknesses of the Management Team, (2) Owner's Time Distribution, and (3) Key Growth Management Practices.

Our approach allows business owners to implement growth strategies on their own, or through assistance from our professionals. The benefitsof our approach and M3™ technology include risk reduction, immediate action plans, transformation strategies, cost reduction, and results tracking and justification.  M3™ allows us to assess business needs, provide immediate recommendations, and deliver valuable resources, materials and expertise across seven (7) management categories.  An analysis of these elements and the business' maturity score allows us to identify gaps and growth strategies to provide the owner a three-year growth and expansion plan.

Small Business Program Management

BTG’s innovative Small Business Program Management approach assists clients in the design, implementation and coordination of small business outreach and development programs.  We understand the importance of participation and growth of small businesses.  We developed our approach from past project successes and incorporated lessons learned.  We use a four pillar approach to support key stakeholders; project owners, construction managers and general contractors, in meeting small business utilization goals while managing project risks.  Our four pillars include: Program Management; Business Assessment and Intake; Opportunity and Contracting Assistance; and Compliance Reviews and Monitoring.

Our approach has been successful on large scale projects and programs because it is robust and is delivered efficiently through the use of BTG's two proprietary technology solutions; Management Maturity Model™ (M3™) and Online Compliance System™ (OCS™).   We use M3™ to vet and assess a company's management capability while also evaluating project risks.  We use OCS™ to provide automated tracking and support compliance to the US Department of Transportation's regulations (49 CFR Part 26).  M3™ and OCS™ provide a vehicle to satisfy regulations that require adherence to good faith efforts, prompt payment, data required to report annual goals, and retention of diversity information.

“One of the best things about this exercise is that it forced me to write down the true status of my company. Writing things down has given me renewed focus on the things that I need to work on.”
